CHRISTMAS AT SOUTHWEST HILLS
SHARE THE STORY : CHRIST HAS COME!
We love celebrating that Christ has come into the world! He came to save sinners, and we are so thankful that He did! What joy we have that we can worship the same Messiah today in Beaverton that the shepherds worshipped in a stable in Bethlehem 2,000 years ago! Join us for our Advent sermon series as we study our long-awaited Savior: Jesus Christ.
In the Bible, many men and women had an encounter with Jesus Christ: Mary and Joseph, lacking worldly wealth and isolated from their family and friends in Nazareth, huddled around a manger where Mary had just given birth to a son; the shepherds, unknown and poorly-regarded by the world, met Jesus after witnessing a choir of majestic angels singing praises and proclaiming that a Savior had been born; Zechariah and Simeon, who had faithfully awaited the long-promised Messiah, witnessed the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies; and even the Magi traveled to Bethlehem to present gifts to the infant King of Kings.
Each one of these men and women met Jesus, the Savior of the world, and no doubt they were changed. Their stories have been recorded in Scripture and have changed millions of lives. In the same way, Christ’s redemptive work did not conclude in the manger. His work continued in His life, His death, His resurrection, and His ascension. Now His work is continuing to this day through His Spirit he has placed in each believer. Come worship with us this Christmas season, as we proclaim and share the true story that Christ has come!
